The principles that shape every space
These aren't corporate values printed on a wall. They're the silent questions we ask at every decision point-beliefs tested and refined through years of creating homes.

We Listen Like Old Friends
Before we sketch a single line, we become students of your life. We'll sit in your current home and watch-really watch. How does your family move through breakfast chaos? Where does your teenager disappear to when they need quiet? Which corner does your dog claim as their own? We notice that you always set your chai down on the left side, that your mother-in-law needs a railing but would never ask for one, that your husband reads in bed but you can't sleep with the light on.
This isn't a questionnaire. It's a conversation that unfolds over weeks. We visit at different times-morning rush, lazy Sunday afternoon, festival preparation. We ask about your childhood homes, the hotels that made you feel something, the friend's house where you inexplicably feel at peace. By the time we pick up a pencil, we know your rhythms better than you do.

We Design Backwards from Feeling
Most designers start with layouts and floor plans. We start with a question: How do you want to feel when you walk through your front door at 8 PM after a brutal day? What should Sunday morning feel like in your kitchen? We work backwards from these feelings to the materials, colors, and proportions that will create them.
We've learned that the feeling of 'home' lives in strange places-the particular weight of a door handle, the sound your feet make on the floor, the way evening light pools on a specific wall. We obsess over these invisible details because they're what you'll actually live with. The sofa you chose from a catalog will fade into background. The feeling of sanctuary when you close your bedroom door-that stays.

We Build for Your Grandchildren
Every material we choose, every detail we specify, passes through a simple filter: Will this still feel right in twenty years? Not trendy-trends are just collective anxiety dressed up as taste. We're asking whether the teak will develop a beautiful patina or just look dated. Whether the layout will still work when your kids leave and your parents move in.
We source materials from craftspeople who've been perfecting their art for generations. The Bidri work from Bidar, the stone from Tandur, the woodwork from Kerala-these aren't decorative choices, they're investments in time. We've watched homes age. The ones filled with 'timeless' catalog pieces look tired after five years. The ones built with honest materials and real craft? They just keep getting better.

We Choreograph Light Like Music
Light is the first thing we design, long before furniture or finishes. We track the sun's journey across your plot through all seasons. We know that Hyderabad's winter light is golden and forgiving, that summer demands shade and reflection, that monsoon brings a soft grey that makes warm materials glow.
We design windows not as holes in walls but as instruments that play light differently through the day. The kitchen gets eastern light for energetic mornings. The bedroom faces away from the harsh west. The living room has that one corner where afternoon sun creates a perfect reading spot from October to February. This choreography is invisible-you'll never consciously notice it. You'll just feel inexplicably peaceful in your own home.
Meet the Founders
Two friends who believed homes could be better. That they should be better.
Kalyan
I believe every home has a story waiting to be told. Our job is to listen carefully enough to hear it.
Kalyan's journey began with a deep appreciation for spaces that hold memories. The way light falls through windows, the cool touch of well-chosen materials, the particular feel of a thoughtfully designed room - these aren't just architectural features, they're the vocabulary of comfort.
With a passion for bringing soul back to modern homes, Kalyan founded Optiimus Prime Interiors in 2024. He still hand-sketches every initial concept. 'The computer lies,' he says. 'Your hand knows things your mind hasn't figured out yet.'
Charan
Design is not about making things beautiful. It's about making life beautiful.
Charan brings a unique perspective to interiors, combining technical precision with an eye for aesthetics. His approach blends modern design sensibilities with timeless principles that make spaces feel both contemporary and enduring.
While other designers think in floor plans, Charan thinks in experiences. He can tell you how a space will feel at different times of day, how materials will age gracefully, and how every detail contributes to the overall harmony of a home.
Four conversations that turn a house into your home
Listen
Listen
Week 1-3We come to your home with chai and curiosity-not clipboards. We watch your family move through breakfast chaos, notice which chair your father-in-law claims, where your daughter does homework, how evening light falls on your reading corner.
We ask about the homes you grew up in, the hotels that made you feel something, the friend's house where you inexplicably feel at peace. By week three, we know your rhythms better than you do.
Dream
Dream
Week 4-8Armed with understanding, we retreat to our studio. Arjun still hand-sketches every initial concept-“the computer lies,” he says, “your hand knows things your mind hasn't figured out yet.”
We work backwards from feelings to forms. Materials are chosen not from catalogs but from our network of artisans-the Bidri craftsman in Bidar, the stone carver in Tandur, the woodworker in Kerala.
Build
Build
Week 9-20This is where vision meets sawdust, where drawings become doorframes. We work with craftspeople who've been perfecting their art for generations-people who understand that the difference between good and exceptional lives in the last 5%.
Every week, we walk the site together-not to check boxes, but to make decisions that drawings can't capture. The exact height where the kitchen counter meets your hip. Details you'll never consciously notice, but always feel.
Live
Live
The beginningWe don't do dramatic reveals with blindfolds. Instead, we hand you the keys and step back. Watch you walk through. See where your hand instinctively reaches, which corner draws your eye, where you exhale.
The best moment isn't the first day-it's when we visit six months later and find scuff marks on the stairs, crayon on the playroom wall, your grandmother's photograph in the spot we designed for it.
“The real design begins after we leave.”
We'd love to hear your story.
Every home we've designed started with a conversation. Sometimes over chai, sometimes over a phone call, always with genuine curiosity. If you're dreaming of a home that truly understands you, we're here to listen.
No pressure, no sales pitch - just two people talking about what home means to you.
Let's begin with a conversation
